Known for their down-to-earth vibe and passion for bringing people together, the President keeps things running like a well-oiled machine, all while being super approachable. They’re passionate about fostering a sense of belonging, making sure that everyone feels welcome—whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time. With a knack for turning ideas into action, they’re always looking for new ways to support the congregation and bring people closer together. From outreach programs to youth activities, they’re dedicated to making ICDC a vibrant and connected place for all.
Anas Jlilati is the Imam of ICDC Masjid, with extensive qualifications in Islamic studies and a broad background in teaching and community leadership. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies from Iqra’a Wa Rtaqi Online University in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, where he excelled in subjects like Aqida, Fiqh, Sunnah Nabawiya, and Hadith narration. Additionally, he has Quran memorization and tafsir training from Al-Iman Mosque in Damascus.
Anas has served in various capacities, including leading Taraweeh prayers at multiple mosques in the U.S., such as the Central Avenue Mosque and Chester County Islamic Society. His international experience includes serving as an Imam and Quranic reciter in Japan, where he helped establish the Gifu Mosque.
Besides his religious work, Anas has a strong academic foundation, holding a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health from Widener University, with expertise in pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare administration. He currently teaches a range of scientific subjects and continues his Islamic education work, teaching Quran and Tajweed at the Islamic Society of Greater Valley Forge.
Fluent in Arabic and Japanese, Anas also volunteers as a medical assistant and translator, assisting underprivileged communities through organizations like The SHAMS Clinic and Narenj Tree Foundation. His dedication to both religious leadership and community service make him a well-rounded and impactful leader in the Islamic community.
